WEEE3R Introduction

The Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires companies who produce or distribute electronic or electrical equipment to pay for the recycling and collection of the products they put on the market when it reaches the end of its life. The Directive has been implemented in the UK through the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006 which cover a wide range of products intended for household and/or commercial use that are dependent on electrical currents or electromagnetic fields to work properly.

WEEE3R is Northern Ireland’s first large locally based Northern Ireland Environment Agency approved Producer Compliance Scheme (Approval Ref WEE/TP3038PH/SCH).

WEEE3R works closely with its in-house collection and reprocessing company NWP Recycling to provide a full service meeting the regulatory obligations of producers that are members of our scheme. We believe in retaining materials in the Northern Ireland economy and maximising the creation and security of local jobs.

WEEE3R offers an efficient and low cost option for compliance with the WEEE regulations. With a straightforward registration process and electronic data submission WEEE3R will take on your producer obligations and comply on your behalf simply and cost effectively. We are ‘theee trusty compliance solution’
